In 2006, Pixar animation studios will celebrate it's 20 years of existence, for this occasion the MOMA is presenting an amazing exhibit which includes paintings, concept art, sculptures, and an array of digital installations. It was a blast to visit the show... What struck me is the relationship between traditional and digital media in the filmaking process. If you go make sure to check out the Zoetrope, a dynamic installation, modeled on pre-cinema technology, which rotates character sculptures under a strobe light to simulate continuous motion.
