Brand new skin for the De Young:
The museum underwent a major renovation and is now a piece of art itself.

I visited this Fine Art Museum last December and was truly amazed by the architecture. Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron have designed the building so that the outer-shell is made of copper-plates which will eventually turn green over the years as they oxydize. A twisted watch-tower rises above the museum and offers panoramic 360° views of San Francisco streets.
